Villa Maliya lists the rental prices per night for the entire villa (or the number of bedrooms indicated in the booking confirmation). Please note that most villas require a minimum stay, which is longer than traditional hotels. The price for additional beds is charged per night, per person above the standard number of guests. All supplementary guests above the standard number are charged $50 per night, per additional guest. Please inform us in advance if you will need additional beds for extra guests.

No. Although the rates per night are provided for your convenience, Villa Maliya has a minimum stay requirement of 2 nights during the Shoulder Seasons, 5 nights during Chinese New Year, 7 nights during New Year, and 3 nights for the remaining part of the year. However, exceptions could be made.

The weather on Koh Samui is beautiful year-round; however, the prices vary based on the season. There is a higher demand for villa rentals in winter and summer when more people want to rent a villa. Therefore, travel prices are higher during those periods. Villa rentals are less expensive in the other half of the year when fewer people are travelling to the island.

Yes. Renting a villa is similar to any other travel adventure in that additional costs may apply. To help you prepare for your travel experience, let us outline some of the other expenses you might encounter:

Villa Maliya rental taxes:

A vacation villa rental is subject to the tax system of the country in which it is located. This means that an additional cost of 10% service charge will be added to the price of the villa per night, along with a 7% VAT. These charges are included in your invoice and should be paid at the same time as the villa rental payment.

Villa Maliya deposits:

Security and damage deposits may be required at Villa Maliya. Although not an actual cost, all deposits are refundable as long as there is no damage to the villa or outstanding phone bills. However, they do require an initial payment. Our Booking Manager will inform you during the Booking Procedure if a Security Deposit is needed. In case a Security Deposit is not indicated, the guest is still responsible for any breakages and damages to the Villa and its Property.

Tipping at Villa Maliya:

Tipping is always at the discretion of the traveller. If you are satisfied with the service received at our villa, a good guideline for tipping is hotel-style tipping. The rates already include a 10% service charge.

Food Costs at Villa Maliya:

Villa Maliya, a rental property, offers the option of having a Chef upon request.

Chef or in-villa shopping service is available at THB 300 or 20% of the grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.

Pre-arrival shopping service is available at THB 650 or 20% of grocery cost as a handling fee, whichever is greater and subject to 7% VAT.

Provisioning is to be paid by cash on-site or by credit card with an additional surcharge of up to 5%.

However, the Continental Breakfast is included in the nightly rate.

Payment for Third-Party Services:

If you wish to rent a specific car, such as a minivan with a driver or book a guided excursion, please note that Villa Maliya is not responsible for the services provided by other companies on the island. It is advisable to carry cash for payments, as many businesses on the island do not have credit card machines. However, there are ATMs available, so please check with your bank in advance regarding the use of your credit card in Thailand.

The Villa Maliya team includes a Chef for cooking upon request, a Maid, a Gardener, and a Villa Manager.

Villa Maliya provides towels for use in the bathroom and bedroom, as well as separate towels for the pool and beach. If any sheets are used improperly, guests will be charged for the laundry of those towels.

No, there is no resident therapist in the villa. However, we can arrange for professional therapists from the island to come to the villa and provide massages at an additional charge. Please feel free to inquire about the prices with the Villa Manager.

The villa staff does not take responsibility for guests’ laundry. Instead, they arrange for a specialized laundry service on the island to handle the laundry. Guests are prohibited from using the villa’s washing machine.

Villa Maliya strongly recommends using the complimentary pick-up service from Samui Airport.

Our driver will warmly welcome you at Samui Airport upon arrival and drive you to the villa. On the check-out day, they will transport you back to the airport. The night rates include one pick-up and drop-off service per booking. If guests arrive at a different time, additional transfers will incur extra charges.

Please inform us in advance, and there may be an additional fee for the transfer.

In such cases, you are responsible for your transportation to the island. We can only provide pick-up services on Koh Samui Island.

Booking a villa during the busy holiday season typically results in higher prices and minimum stay requirements for the villa.

However, last-minute bookings are sometimes possible, although not encouraged due to limited availability.
